The York Region Soccer Association is pleased to launch its Development Program beginning in May 2018. The program is aimed at discovering and guiding the best young district players from U12 through U16 and rewarding them with extra opportunities to develop their skills, challenging them in a very competitive environment. The player identification process involves all technical leaders and their respective Clubs.
The York Development Program will provide extra curricula specific to high performance that will enhance player development in a controlled and monitored environment, where they can display and improve their standards and potentially be rewarded with professional opportunities.
The Program intends to deliver a coaching and playing philosophy based on merit, without financially penalizing participants (the program is cost free) with the ultimate goal to help bridge the current gap between competitive and high performance.
